Business Development Executive

Full-time Kumasi, Ghana (Field-based) Base + Commission

About the Role

We're looking for a driven Business Development Executive to help grow MIGT's client base across Ghana. Your primary focus will be identifying and approaching SMEs, schools, and companies that would benefit from a custom website, web application, or digital system — and converting those conversations into projects.

This is a field-facing role. You'll be out meeting decision-makers, presenting our portfolio, and building the relationships that bring in new business. You'll work closely with the MIGT technical team so you can speak credibly about what we build and what we've delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach SMEs, schools, NGOs, and companies that need digital solutions
  • Present MIGT's services and portfolio to potential clients — in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Qualify leads and coordinate discovery calls between prospects and the technical team
  • Follow up consistently and move opportunities through the pipeline to signed agreements
  • Attend relevant industry events, business expos, and networking opportunities in Ghana
  • Maintain a clear record of prospects, outreach activity, and deal status
  • Provide feedback from the market to help sharpen our positioning and service offerings

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (and ideally Twi)
  • Comfortable approaching new people and initiating business conversations
  • Self-motivated — you can plan your week, hit your targets, and work without close supervision
  • A genuine interest in technology and what it can do for businesses
  • Based in or willing to travel within the Greater Kumasi and Accra areas

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience selling technology or professional services
  • Existing network of decision-makers in education, retail, hospitality, or financial services
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or sales tracking spreadsheets
  • Experience in a startup or small-company environment
